Biodiversity Working Group

Even if the world were to end tomorrow, I would still plant a tree today.

The wildlife and habitats of our planet need positive action and Exeter XR Biodiversity Group are an enthusiastic crew who are already getting stuck into hands-on projects and actions! Currently these include:

  • Making insect-friendly ‘seed balls’ and ‘tree bombs’ with local XR messaging and wildlife info, for use in XR outreach and at XR actions.
  • Organising a campaign against use of neonicotinoids and other pesticides.
  • Exeter XR involvement in local community biodiversity planting areas.
  • Planning actions to protect biodiversity, at our monthly Biodiversity Working Group online meetings.

If you’d like to find out more, support and increase local biodiversity, or get yer hands mucky making stuff out of clay and seeds, contact us at: biodiversity@extinctionrebellionexeter.org. We’d love more folks to get involved with the things we’re planning!
