Citizen Survey Board

There will be a Citizen Survey Board in Exeter city centre on 25 February.

Citizen Survey Boards are an effective method for signing up members of the public. If you’d like to help out on the day please get in touch at https://extinctionrebellionexeter.org/contact-us/

Exeter Climate Cafe

Exeter Phoenix cafe/bar, 10.30 – 12 noon, 22 February & Wednesday 1 March.

Come and talk to others who share your concerns, and maybe have a coffee or two.

The Climate Cafe also meets at the Hub on the first Friday of each month from 10.30 til 12.

Community Alliance Building

Could you spare a few minutes to help us build community alliances?

We are looking to build a network of support amongst local community groups, and want to find contact details of people who can help us make those connections.

If you are a member of any local group, e.g. campaign groups, community groups, faith groups, activist groups, unions, sports teams etc, please fill out our survey to help us build alliances with them.

Take the survey.

Cl!mate Fresk Workshop

10.30am, Saturday 4 March, Climate Action Hub.

Want to help tackle climate change but don’t have the time to become a climate scientist?
In just 3 hours, the collaborative Cl!mate Fresk workshop will teach you the fundamental science behind climate change and empower you to take action.
In order to take action and build solutions, we first need to understand the problem. Cl!mate Fresk is the most powerful tool for providing a quality climate education that is accessible to anyone and can be scaled quickly within an organisation or community.
This is the second Cl!mate Fresk workshop to be held at the Hub, we will be running them regularly, training more facilitators and taking them out to local businesses.
This is a three hour workshop, doors open at 10:30 and the workshop will start at 11:00 ending by 14:00. Places are limited, so please book a ticket at no cost at https://association.climatefresk.org/training_sessions/d6ce3ef9-b392-4677-80af-9b0b65caf4f1/show_public?language=en
While we don’t charge for the workshop to enable anyone to attend, we do ask for donations on the day towards the cost of running the Hub.

Intro to Extinction rebellion

The next Introduction to Extinction Rebellion Exeter is on Thursday 2 March at 6:30pm at the Climate Action Hub in Exeter.

Come along to find out more about the local group, including plans to gather peacefully at the House of Parliament between 21 and 24 April to demand an end to the fossil fuel era and for a citizen-led transformation towards a fair society. Everyone welcome!

Newsletters go out at the start of the month and mid-month. Please submit copy for the next edition by Monday 27 February 2023.

There may be additional newsletters during periods of action. If you have XR news, events, training, activities and other opportunities you would like to include, then do get involved in a fortnightly meeting.
