Protest at Devon County Council

From 9.30am to 10.30am

This will be a shorter event than the previous week but we want to meet the cabinet members before they go in. 3 members of XR will beside to ask questions.

May 22nd marked two years since Devon County Council declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency; what have they done since? We undertook a peaceful protest at their first in person meeting after lock down, questioning our councillors, as to what measures have been put in place for our future.

We found that morning that the meeting had been moved to Sandy Park. We continued the vigil on the steps of County Hall and some went on to Sandy Park and ‘entertained’ the councillors as they left the meeting.
